Personal Safety Speaker
We would like to welcome back our personal safety speaker, Ms. Shannon Bond. This is Ms. Bond’s third year visiting Lewis and we are very excited to have her back! Ms. Bond will visit all of our Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 5th grade classrooms during February and March. In this program, the students will learn to apply personal safety rules to potentially dangerous situations. Ms. Shannon Bond, a community counselor, has talked to students throughout the metro area for over 17 years. The major rule discussed in this program is that no one should touch the private parts of one’s body except to keep you clean and healthy. Ms. Bond stresses the importance of telling adults when a dangerous situation arises. This program has been presented in many Cobb County schools and has been received well by parents, staff, and students.
